TCS Salary Hike 2010 (TCS Salary Hike confirmed but not percentage): With 50.1 percent YOY and 9.7 percent QOY in the Q4 Result, TCS is now considering salary hike for its employees. According to TCS officials, they are now considering salary hike and the hikes in the salary may be implemented during financial ending March 2010. The actual hike percentage, however, has been decided yet.

“There definitely will be a wage hike but the quantum is not finalised. We are considering three options”, TCS global head of HR Ajoy Mukherjee said address the media when asked about the TCS hike.

Right now, there is a variable pay system being implemented in the TCS. The junioir level employees get a salary of which 20% is variable. This percentage is 45% for the senior level officials. The variable component of the salary is calculated based on the overall performance of their respective business unit. The same goes for other companies like Wipro where performance of the business unit affects the salary of each employee.

TCS now has 1,50,000 employees across the globe and it is one of the biggest software exporter in India.
