News : Bharti Airtel said it has launched a new SIM card for global travellers through which a customer can save upto 85% on international calls.
Airtel World SIM enables outbound travellers to retain their local number as calls made on Airtel India number would be forwarded on the new SIM.
According to Airtel, the SIM will cost a fraction of international roaming and customers can save upto 85 per cent on international calls. It will also offer a single Mobile Number valid across 190 countries.
Announcing the launch, Shireesh Joshi, Director-Marketing, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel said, “The Airtel World SIM has been created following in-depth research and customer feedback. Over 10 million Indians travel abroad annually and they are looking for a calling product that provides them flexibility and convenience at competitive prices.”
It will be initially available to Airtel customers in Delhi.
